Doctors trained in diseases of the digestive tract (gastroenterologists) who have advanced training in endoscopic procedures perform more than a thousand endoscopic ultrasounds a year at Mayo Clinic in Florida.

You may directly refer your patients for endoscopic ultrasound with only basic, pre-procedure evaluation. The program is designed for gastroenterologists, surgeons and oncologists who don't require a separate gastroenterological consultation but do need to request an endoscopic ultrasound procedure.
Request appointments via the Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at 904-953-7382 or via fax at 904-953-7260. A recent (within 30 to 90 days) history and physical exam, labs (CBC, electrolytes, PT/INR) and relevant imaging (CT, MRI, endoscopy) results should be faxed for review prior to scheduling.
