Women's Endocrinology Service Group

The Women's Endocrinology Clinic provides comprehensive consultations for women who have endocrine disorders or who are at risk for their development. The ten physician and scientist members of the Division of Endocrinology who staff this clinic provide state-of-the-art care, with particular sensitivity to the concerns of women. Some of the areas in which care is provided include:

• Estrogen replacement therapy for women with osteoporosis, high cholesterol, or those taking this medication after menopause
• Menstrual disorders
• Thyroid disorders during and following pregnancy
• Diagnosis and treatment of excess facial/body hair
• Nutrition/activity/lifestyle program for overweight women
• Abnormal breast growth or secretion
