Thyroid Disorders Service Group

Ten physician and scientist members of the Division of Endocrinology have a special interest and expertise in disorders of the thyroid gland. The Thyroid Disorders Service Group provides comprehensive consultations for patients with thyroid disease and individuals suspected of having a thyroid disorder. This typically includes evaluation and treatment of:

• Abnormal thyroid blood tests
• Abnormal thyroid scans and ultrasound exams
• Goiter
• Graves' disease
• Graves' ophthalmopathy
• Hashimoto's thyroiditis
• Hyperthyroidism
• Hypothyroidism
• Multiple endocrine neoplasia
• Plummer's disease
• Postpartum thyroid disease
• Thyroid cancer
• Thyroid nodules (including fine needle aspiration biopsies)
