Osteoporosis-Calcium Disorders Service Group

The Osteoporosis-Calcium Disorders Service Group provides comprehensive outpatient and inpatient consultations for bone and calcium disorders. These include:

• assessment of osteoporosis risk with bone densitometry
• dietary counselling
• advice regarding physiotherapy
• medical consultations for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis

In addition, consultations are provided for a variety of other bone and calcium disorders such as:

• hyperparathyroidism
• hypocalcemia
• rickets
• Paget disease
• osteomalacia
• other metabolic bone diseases
