Overview

Endocrinology, Metabolism, Diabetes, Nutrition, and Internal Medicine is a Division of the Department of Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic. It has a staff of more than 40 clinical endocrinologists, organized into a number of specialty groups.

Staff in the division handle a wide range of common as well as unusual disorders and dysfunctions. Patients with problems involving the hormone-secreting endocrine glands present a wide array of symptoms, signs, syndromes and diseases, many of which are interrelated.

A unique aspect of the division is its integrated approach to problems of human nutrition in disease states and for health improvement and maintenance.
