Diabetes Mellitus Service Group

Seventeen physician and scientist members of the division have a special interest and expertise in disorders related to diabetes mellitus. These staff physicians deal with all aspects of diabetes including:

• intensive insulin therapy
• hypoglycemia
• pregnancy
• nutritional management
• exercise education
• complication prevention
  • lipid management
  • ophthalmologic monitoring
  • neuropathy management
  • behavior modification

Patients also may access services through the Diabetes Self-Management Education Program and the Vascular Ulcer and Wound Care Center.
