Emergency Medicine

Overview

Emergency Medicine specialists work at all three Mayo Clinic locations to treat life-threatening illnesses. Teams of board-certified physicians, registered nurses, and other specially trained staff are available at all times to treat anyone seeking emergency medical care. Each year Mayo emergency care physicians see more than 80,000 patients in the emergency care setting.

In Minnesota, 26 physicians provide care through the Emergency Department at Saint Marys Hospital, which has Trauma Level I accreditation, the highest level of emergency care possible.

In Florida, five physicians provide care through the Emergency Medicine Department at Mayo Clinic hospital.

In Arizona, Emergency Medicine is available at Mayo Clinic Hospital in northeast Phoenix.
