Eisenmenger's Syndrome

Treatment of Children

Mayo Clinic pediatric specialists have experience treating children with Eisenmenger's syndrome. Pediatric cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons and other specialists, part of the Center for Congenital Heart Disease, work together to care for children. Children needing hospitalization are cared for at Mayo Eugenio Litta Children's Hospital in Rochester.

Specific management of Eisenmenger's syndrome will be determined by the children's treatment team based on:

  • The child's overall health and medical history
  • The child's tolerance for specific medications, procedures or therapies
  • The parents' wishes
