Dyspepsia

Symptoms

Symptoms of functional dyspepsia vary among individuals, but may include:

  • Bothersome fullness after meals
  • Feeling of fullness before finishing a meal
  • Pain or discomfort in the upper abdomen
  • Burning sensation in the upper abdomen
  • Gas
  • Bloating
  • Belching

Many people experience these symptoms occasionally. To be diagnosed as functional dyspepsia, the symptoms must be chronic (ongoing).
