Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

Less common

  1. Arm, back, or jaw pain
  2. blindness
  3. blurred vision
  4. chest pain or discomfort
  5. chest tightness or heaviness
  6. chills
  7. cold sweats
  8. confusion
  9. decreased vision
  10. difficult or labored breathing
  11. difficulty with swallowing
  12. dizziness
  13. dizziness, faintness, or lightheadedness when getting up from a lying or sitting position
  14. eye pain
  15. fainting
  16. fast, irregular, pounding, or racing heartbeat or pulse
  17. headache
  18. hives
  19. itching
  20. nausea
  21. nervousness
  22. pain or discomfort in the arms, jaw, back, or neck
  23. pounding in the ears
  24. puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips, or tongue
  25. shortness of breath
  26. skin rash
  27. slow or fast heartbeat
  28. sweating
  29. tearing
  30. tightness in the chest
  31. unusual tiredness or weakness
  32. vomiting
  33. wheezing

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

More common

  1. Feeling of warmth and redness of the face, neck, arms, and occasionally, upper chest
  2. sneezing
  3. stuffy nose

Less common

  1. Abnormal ejaculation
  2. abdominal or stomach pain
  3. abnormal vision
  4. acid or sour stomach
  5. back pain
  6. belching
  7. bloody nose
  8. body aches or pain
  9. burning feeling in the chest or stomach
  10. burning, crawling, itching, numbness, prickling, "pins and needles", or tingling feelings
  11. changes in color vision
  12. changes in vision
  13. congestion
  14. cough
  15. diarrhea
  16. difficulty seeing at night
  17. difficulty with moving
  18. difficulty with swallowing
  19. dim vision
  20. dry mouth
  21. dryness or soreness of the throat
  22. excessive muscle tone
  23. eye pain
  24. face swelling
  25. fast heartbeat
  26. feeling of constant movement of self or surroundings
  27. fever
  28. general feeling of discomfort or illness
  29. heartburn
  30. hoarseness
  31. increased redness of the eye
  32. increased sensitivity of the eyes to sunlight
  33. indigestion
  34. itching skin
  35. joint pain
  36. lack or loss of strength
  37. loss of appetite
  38. muscle aches and pains
  39. muscle cramping
  40. muscle stiffness
  41. muscle tension or tightness
  42. neck pain
  43. pain
  44. pain or burning in the throat
  45. runny nose
  46. sensation of spinning
  47. shivering
  48. sleepiness or unusual drowsiness
  49. sleeplessness
  50. sore throat
  51. sores, ulcers, or white spots on the lips or tongue or inside the mouth
  52. stomach discomfort, upset, or pain
  53. swollen joints
  54. tender, swollen glands in the neck
  55. tenderness in the stomach area
  56. trouble with sleeping
  57. trouble with swallowing
  58. unable to sleep
  59. voice changes
  60. watery eyes
