Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

Less common

  1. Blistering, burning, crusting, dryness, or flaking of the skin
  2. burning, crawling, itching, numbness, prickling, "pins and needles", or tingling feelings
  3. itching, scaling, severe redness, soreness, or swelling of the skin
  4. tightness in the chest, throat, neck, or jaw

Incidence not know

  1. Abdominal or stomach pain
  2. agitation
  3. arm, back, or jaw pain
  4. bloody diarrhea
  5. blurred vision
  6. chest pain or discomfort
  7. chest tightness or heaviness
  8. confusion
  9. cough
  10. diarrhea
  11. difficulty with speaking
  12. difficulty with swallowing
  13. dizziness
  14. double vision
  15. fainting
  16. fast, pounding, or irregular heartbeat or pulse
  17. fever
  18. headache
  19. hives, itching, or skin rash
  20. inability to move the arms, legs, or facial muscles
  21. inability to speak
  22. nausea
  23. overactive reflexes
  24. pain or discomfort in the arms, jaw, back, or neck
  25. pain spreading to left shoulder
  26. paleness or cold feeling in the fingertips and toes
  27. partial loss of vision
  28. poor coordination
  29. pounding in the ears
  30. puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips, or tongue
  31. restlessness
  32. seizures
  33. shivering
  34. slow or fast heartbeat
  35. slow speech
  36. sweating
  37. talking or acting with excitement you cannot control
  38. tingling or pain in the fingers or toes when exposed to cold
  39. trembling or shaking
  40. twitching
  41. unusual tiredness or weakness
  42. vomiting

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

More common

  1. Redness, pain, itching, or skin rash where the patch is applied
