Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor or nurse immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

Rare

  1. Cough
  2. difficulty swallowing
  3. dizziness
  4. fast heartbeat
  5. hives
  6. itching
  7. puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips, or tongue
  8. shortness of breath
  9. skin rash
  10. tightness in chest
  11. unusual tiredness or weakness
  12. wheezing

Incidence not known

  1. Abdominal or stomach pain
  2. diarrhea
  3. fast, pounding, or irregular heartbeat or pulse
  4. fever
  5. glaucoma
  6. joint or muscle pain
  7. nausea
  8. numbness or tingling of face, hands, or feet
  9. redness and soreness of eyes
  10. shortness of breath
  11. sores in mouth
  12. swelling of feet or lower legs
  13. vomiting

Get emergency help immediately if any of the following symptoms of overdose occur:

Symptoms of Overdose

  1. Blurred vision
  2. confusion, delirium, or hallucinations
  3. constipation
  4. difficult urination
  5. drowsiness
  6. dry eyes, mouth, nose, or throat
  7. eye pain
  8. flushing or redness of face
  9. troubled breathing

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

Incidence not known

  1. Anxiety
  2. deep or fast breathing with dizziness
  3. headache
  4. irritability
  5. itching skin
  6. mental confusion
  7. nervousness
  8. numbness of feet, hands and around mouth
  9. restlessness
  10. trembling or shaking of hands or feet shakiness in legs, arms, hands, or feet
  11. unusually large pupils of eyes
  12. weakness

Other side effects not listed may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional.
