Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Stop taking this medicine and get emergency help immediately if any of the following effects occur:

More common

  1. Deep, dark purple bruise, pain, or swelling at place of injection


  1. Back pain
  2. black, tarry stools
  3. bleeding from the mouth or gums
  4. blood in the urine
  5. blue-green to black skin discoloration
  6. bluish discoloration, flushing, or redness of skin
  7. burning, pricking, tickling, or tingling sensation
  8. coughing
  9. difficulty in swallowing
  10. dizziness or feeling faint
  11. fever
  12. hives
  13. itching
  14. leg weakness
  15. nosebleed
  16. numbness
  17. paralysis
  18. problems with bladder or bowel function
  19. redness or sloughing of skin at place of injection
  20. skin rash
  21. small purple or red spots in the mouth, on the gums, or on the skin
  22. swelling of eyelids, face, or lips
  23. tightness in chest, troubled breathing, and/or wheezing
  24. vomiting of blood or coffee ground–like material
