Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

Incidence not known

  1. Acid or sour stomach
  2. anxiety
  3. backache
  4. belching
  5. bloating
  6. change in vaginal discharge
  7. chest pain
  8. chills
  9. clear or bloody discharge from the nipple
  10. confusion
  11. constipation
  12. cough
  13. darkened urine
  14. difficulty with speaking
  15. dimpling of the breast skin
  16. dizziness or lightheadedness
  17. double vision
  18. fainting
  19. fast heartbeat
  20. fever
  21. full or bloated feeling or pressure in the stomach
  22. headache
  23. heartburn
  24. inability to move the arms, legs, or facial muscles
  25. inability to speak
  26. indigestion
  27. inverted nipple
  28. loss of appetite
  29. lump in the breast or under the arm
  30. nausea
  31. pain or feeling of pressure in the pelvis
  32. pain, redness, or swelling in the arm or leg
  33. pains in the stomach, side, or abdomen, possibly radiating to the back
  34. persistent crusting or scaling of the nipple
  35. redness or swelling of the breast
  36. slow speech
  37. sore on the skin of the breast that does not heal
  38. stomach discomfort, upset, or pain
  39. swelling of the abdominal or stomach area
  40. trouble breathing
  41. vaginal bleeding
  42. vomiting
  43. yellow eyes or skin

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

More common

  1. Diarrhea
  2. muscle spasm
  3. throat pain
  4. upper abdominal or stomach pain

Less common

  1. Neck pain
