Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

Incidence not known

  1. Blistering, burning, itching, peeling, rash, redness, swelling, or other signs of skin irritation
  2. bloody urine
  3. burning and itching of the skin with pinhead-sized red blisters
  4. change in the frequency of urination or amount of urine
  5. crusting, dryness, flaking, or scaling of the skin
  6. difficulty in breathing
  7. dizziness
  8. drowsiness
  9. feeling of fullness in the ears
  10. increased thirst
  11. loss of appetite
  12. loss of balance
  13. loss of hearing
  14. nausea
  15. ringing or buzzing in the ears
  16. swelling of the feet or lower legs
  17. thinning of the skin with easy bruising
  18. trouble in hearing
  19. vomiting
  20. weakness

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

Incidence not known

  1. Acne, pimples
  2. burning, itching, and pain in hairy areas
  3. increased hair growth on the forehead, back, arms, and legs
  4. lightening of normal skin color
  5. lightening of the treated areas of dark skin
  6. pus at the root of the hair
  7. reddish purple lines on the arms, face, legs, trunk, or groin
  8. redness and scaling around the mouth
  9. softening of the skin
