Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

Less common

  1. Cough
  2. difficulty breathing
  3. noisy breathing
  4. shortness of breath
  5. tightness in chest
  6. wheezing

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

More common

  1. Bitter taste in mouth
  2. headaches
  3. temporary eye burning or stinging

Less common

  1. Burning, dry or itching eyes
  2. blurred vision, temporary
  3. chills
  4. diarrhea
  5. eye discharge or excessive tearing
  6. fever
  7. general feeling of discomfort or illness
  8. hoarseness or other voice changes
  9. itching skin
  10. joint pain
  11. loss of appetite
  12. muscle aches and pains
  13. nausea
  14. redness, pain, swelling of eye, eyelid, or inner lining of eyelid
  15. runny nose
  16. shivering
  17. sneezing
  18. sore throat
  19. stuffy nose
  20. sweating
  21. tender, swollen glands in neck
  22. trouble in swallowing
  23. trouble sleeping
  24. unusual tiredness or weakness
  25. vomiting
