The Blood Alliance Ambassador Program

Program Information

In an effort to keep our community blood supply safe, The Blood Alliance has been deferring donors at record levels. Their challenge is to maintain an adequate supply for our local hospitals and medical facilities as their demands increase. We are asking for your help to grow our donor population. You have rallied many times to this cause, and your continued support is vital to the well-being of our community. Therefore, we have developed the Ambassador Program for you. This program will enable you to share your life-saving efforts with friends and family members.

How To Participate

Step 1: Think of your friends and family members. Are any of them likely blood donors?

Step 2: Call and ask them to join you in saving lives through blood donation. You may wish to accompany them on their first donation.

Step 3: Fill out the Ambassador Program form. Include your name, and the names and phone numbers of the potential donors who have given their approval to receive a call from The Blood Alliance. Mail the form to: The Blood Alliance, 536 West 10th Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206. You also can email this information to jhelgren@thebloodalliance.org.

Step 4: The Blood Alliance will call the potential donors and schedule appointments to donate. After four of your referrals have donated for the first time, you will receive an Ambassador polo shirt from The Blood Alliance.

*A first time donor is defined as a person that has never donated blood or has not donated with The Blood Alliance in over 12 months. Call 904-353-8263 or 1-888-447-1479 for more information.
