Mayo Clinic doctors and scientists are studying ways to improve diagnosis and treatment of heart arrhythmias, including WPW syndrome. The Heart Rhythm Disease Program in the Cardiovascular Research Center focuses on several areas related to cardiac arrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation. Specific efforts involve population-based studies, laboratory studies of heart mechanisms, and improvements to imaging and electrode placement in cardiac catheterization.
