At Mayo Clinic, endocrinologists form a multidisciplinary team with general surgeons, oncologists, pathologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, and ear, nose and throat specialists (otorhinolaryngologists) to care for people with thyroid cancer. Other professionals are included as needed.

The range of treatments offered to people with thyroid cancer includes several surgical procedures, including traditional thyroidectomy and, in certain situations, robotic thyroidectomy.
