Doctors with a 3-D model of the heart Research discussion

Mayo Clinic doctors collaborate and discuss new research and technology, including 3-D printed models of the heart and valves.

Mayo Clinic cardiologists, cardiac surgeons and others study new diagnostic tests and potential treatments for people with mitral valve disease, such as minimally invasive heart surgery and catheter procedures. You may have the opportunity to participate in clinical trials.

Doctors also study and use advanced technology, such as using 3-D models printed of the heart and valves to prepare for mitral valve surgery. Read more about research in the Cardiovascular Research Center.
