A team of doctors with training in heart disease (cardiologists), fitness specialists (exercise physiologists), nutrition specialists (dietitians) and other specialists staff the Cardiovascular Health Clinic. The staff in the clinic helps people with coronary artery disease or other heart conditions to understand their current heart health and how to reduce their heart disease risk.

No referral from a doctor is necessary. Cardiologists generally can see most people within two weeks after their appointment requests, and often cardiologists can see people within a week or less after the appointment request. People with urgent issues can usually be seen within 24 hours after their requests. In emergencies, people are directly transferred to inpatient hospital care.
