The purpose of this study is to determine if two-dimensional speckle tracking echocardiography (2D-STE) derived-strain can detect early myocardial dysfunction and thus predict cardiotoxicity in sarcoma subjects undergoing anthracycline therapy and to compare three dimensional speckle tracking echocardiography (3D-STE) to 2D-STE in the same group of patients.
Information regarding the delay in diagnosis as well as the causes of the delay are lacking in the U.S. Specifically, we aim to identify patient factors and provider factors that contribute to delayed diagnosis of sarcoma.
This randomized phase III trial compares ixazomib citrate, lenalidomide, dexamethasone and zoledronic acid with zoledronic acid alone to see how well they work when given after radiation therapy in treating patients with solitary plasmacytoma of bone. Ixazomib citrate may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Lenalidomide may help the immune system kill abnormal blood cells or cancer cells. Dexamethasone is a drug used in chemotherapy that may cause tumor cells to die. Zoledronic acid may prevent bone fractures and reduce bone pain, and may also improve survival. Standard treatment for this cancer is radiation therapy alone. It is not yet known whether ixazomib citrate, lenalidomide, dexamethasone and zoledronic acid or zoledronic acid alone is more effective, and whether adding these treatments after radiation therapy is more effective than radiation therapy alone in treating patients with solitary plasmacytoma of bone.
The study hypotheses is that the proportion of patients experiencing clinically significant pain relief will be at least 30% greater than the proportion experiencing worsening pain.
The goal of this study is to create a comprehensive system of tissue banking of samples from Mayo Clinic Arizona patients with a clinical diagnosis of sarcoma who will or have undergone a surgical procedure to remove the sarcoma. The tissue samples will be used for future research of sarcoma at Mayo Clinic and future research at Mayo Clinic to learn about, prevent, or treat other health problems.
The purpose of this study is to test a new technology called Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) that may help identify this risk associated with precursor conditions and the likelihood that they will change into overt blood and bone marrow cancers. NGS is a procedure that looks at relevant cancer associated genes and what they do.
The aim of this study is to determine if there is subclinical systolic or diastolic myocardial mechanical dysfunction by 2D and 3D speckle tracking echocardiography derived strain and strain rate in this patient population at baseline, during and after chemotherapy. This could be an early marker of myocardial dysfunction in patients treated for sarcoma.
This is a multicenter, open-label, repeat-dose, Phase 1 Dose Escalation Study to evaluate safety, pharmacokinetics, and clinical activity.

The purpose of this clinical research study is to learn if pazopanib when given in combination with topotecan can help to control sarcomas. The safety of this drug combination will also be studied. Pazopanib hydrochloride and topotecan hydrochloride may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.
