  • Maintaining a healthy weight.
  • Eliminating foods and drinks that trigger your heartburn, such as chocolate, coffee, alcohol and mint.
  • Stopping smoking.
  • Raising the head of your bed. Place wooden blocks under your bed to elevate your head.
