Treatment of Children

All diagnosis and treatment options for Devic's disease described in these pages are available for children at Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.

Though Devic's disease is uncommon in children, Mayo Clinic physicians have treated several children as young as age 4 who have Devic's disease. The treatment options for children are essentially the same as for adults, with dose adjustments made for younger patients.
