Mayo Clinic was established through the generous philanthropy of Drs. William J. Mayo and Charles H. Mayo and their wives. They willingly gave not only their medical practice but also the bulk of their personal assets to create Mayo Clinic. They wanted to ensure that Mayo will always provide the best in care by bringing together integrated patient care, research and education to serve the patient.
We publicly honor the many friends who form a productive partnership with Mayo Clinic through leadership support of programs and facilities that ensure continued excellence. Benefactor recognition areas include the Halls of Benefactors, recognition walls and electronic kiosks at our three sites in Rochester, Minn., Jacksonville, Fla., and Scottsdale/Phoenix, Ariz.
Philanthropic gifts of all sizes help Mayo Clinic provide the best care to every patient every day and support medical innovations that benefit people throughout the United States and around the world.
We are honored to recognize Mayo Clinic benefactors who belong to our recognition groups and support our mission in many ways.
Mayo Philanthropic Partners represent the top tier of Mayo benefactors, those who have contributed $10 million and more cumulatively. Members of this elite group, individuals and organizations representing the foremost supporters of Mayo Clinic, are honored in perpetuity in the Mathews Grand Lobby and in the Hall of Benefactors at Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. Philanthropic Partners who support our work in Florida or Arizona also are recognized accordingly in the Halls of Benefactors on those campuses.
