The Department of Dermatology at Mayo Clinic Rochester offers a full range of dermatologic care for both common and rare problems of skin, hair, nails and mucous membranes.

The department is composed of more than 20 board-certified physicians with expertise in the areas of medical, surgical and pediatric dermatology. Members are organized into eight Disease Interest Groups to encourage specialization and research.

Research Award

The Department of Dermatology has been selected to receive the Astellas Award for scientific research from the American Academy of Dermatology. The award is given to an individual or institution that has made significant contributions to improve public health in dermatology. The award will be presented at the 2007 annual meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology.
