The department is composed of more than 20 board-certified physicians with expertise in the areas of medical, surgical and pediatric dermatology. Members are organized into eight Disease Interest Groups to encourage specialization and research.
The Department of Dermatology received the Astellas Award for scientific research from the American Academy of Dermatology in 2007. The award is given to an individual or institution that has made significant contributions to improve public health in dermatology.
