Education

Education in Minnesota

The region offers ample challenging academic opportunities. Campuses of the University of Minnesota are located in Minneapolis, Duluth, Morris and Crookston, as well as in Rochester. In addition to a myriad of premium private colleges, such as Carleton College in Northfield and Macalester College in St. Paul, there is an extensive state college system with more than 35 schools. One branch, Japan's Minnesota State University, is located in Akita, Japan.

The tri-state region is home to many excellent public and private institutions, including the University of Wisconsin at Madison and the University of Iowa in Iowa City.
