Mayo Welcomes New Staff

Anesthesiology
Dr. James Conterato joined Anesthesiology from Marshfield Clinic in Marshfield, Wisc. Conterato earned a medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago and completed residencies in internal medicine at Marshfield Clinic and in anesthesia at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Rochester, Minn. Conterato is board certified in internal medicine and anesthesiology.

Neuroscience
Dr. Jackalina Van Kampen joined Neuroscience as a researcher. Van Kampen was a research associate with Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, where her work focused on receptor stimulation in rodent models of Parkinson's disease. Van Kampen earned a master's degree from the University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario, and a doctorate degree from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver. Both degrees were in neuroscience.

Transplant Medicine
Dr. Hani Wadei joined the Department of Transplant Medicine. He graduated from Kasr El-Eini Medical School at Cairo University in Cairo, Egypt, where he completed internships in internal medicine and nephrology.Wadei also completed a residency in internal medicine and a nephrology fellowship at Wayne State University in Detroit, as well as a transplant nephrology fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. He is board certified in internal medicine.
