Volunteers Sought
for Stress Urinary Incontinence Study

Mayo Clinic physicians are studying a new treatment for stress urinary incontinence in women. The new therapy is given in the office without the need for anesthesia or major surgery.

The study involves the injection of soft-tissue bulking agents in the urethra/bladder neck to control stress urinary incontinence. Study participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the product being tested or one that has already been approved by the Food and Drug Administration for treating urinary incontinence.

Women over the age of 18 who have had stress urinary incontinence for at least one year are eligible. For more information, please call (904) 953-6971.
