Mayo's a Great Place to Work

For the second consecutive year, FORTUNE magazine has named Mayo Clinic one of the "100 Best Companies to Work For" in America. Mayo ranked 26th among large employers and 81st on the magazine's overall list published in the Jan. 24 edition. Other companies that made the list included Microsoft, American Express and IBM. The recognition is based on several factors, including a survey of randomly selected employees, employee demographics, benefits and compensation and work-life balance offerings. Companies are scored in the areas of credibility (communication to employees), respect (opportunities, benefits), fairness (compensation, diversity) and pride/camaraderie (philanthropy, celebrations). All three Mayo sites participated in the survey process.
