Celiac Disease

Research

Mayo Clinic is dedicated to finding new and innovative ways to diagnose and treat celiac disease. Joseph Murray, M.D., has a research program, sponsored by the National Institutes of Health, focusing on the epidemiology of celiac disease, the role of genetics in predicting disease, the development of animal models for the disease and on the dermatologic condition associated with celiac, dermatitis herpetiformis.
