Although not common, carpal tunnel syndrome can occur in children. Doctors trained in pediatric neurology and hand surgery (including doctors trained in orthopedic surgery, plastic surgery and neurosurgery) care for children who have carpal tunnel syndrome at Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.
