Performs delegated activities and tasks to support the operating room team. The surgical core technician prepares and delivers medical/surgical supplies, instruments and equipment for surgical procedures. Technicians also clean, package, inventory and store surgical equipment and instrumentation. |

High school graduate or GED. Successful completion of a vocational program for patient care assistants or equivalent education/work experience.

| Qualifications |
|
Instrument technician certification preferred. Maintain basic life support competency.
