SONOGRAPHER
Daily Tasks
Performs diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures on patients, under the supervision of a radiologist. Sonographers review the patient history and clinical data, perform procedures and provide an oral or written summary of findings to the physicians.
Skills/Talents
Communications skills, positive personality, human relations skills, multitasking, self-motivated, ability to work independently, ability to work with a team, professional image, respect diversity, flexibility, honesty and caring attitude towards people.
Work Setting
Ultrasound procedure rooms on campus.
Work Hours
Primarily day shifts, Monday-Friday. May require occasional nights and weekends. Also on-call requirements.
Education
Graduate of an accredited sonography program.
Qualifications
Candidates must become registered within six months of Mayo employment.

college prep, computer applications, anatomy/physiology, advanced math, and advanced science
