PATIENT SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE
Daily Tasks
Helps make patient's visit to the doctor go smoothly. Duties include keeping track of medical records and test reports, coordinating appointments, receiving patients and visitors and answering phones. Interacts with physicians, technologists, therapists, patients and patients' family members.

Work Setting
Desk on a specialty floor in the clinic.
Work Hours
Primarily day shifts, Monday-Friday. Some opportunities for part-time appointments.
Education
High school graduate or GED. Completion of patient service representative training.
Qualifications
Must have knowledge of computers, computer software, desk procedures and Clinic policies.
Recommended High School Classes
college prep, business/accounting, keyboarding, computer applications, English composition, healthcare sciences, anatomy/physiology, second language, and psychology
