Develop, evaluate and implement new tests or methodologies for the laboratory, including installation and evaluation of laboratory equipment, instrumentation, computer software and hardware and new reagent systems. Maintain complete and accurate documentation of data generated and work performed, prepare data for publication and peer review, and participate in formal presentations within the institution. Help train laboratory staff, residents, and students in principles, methods and applications within the laboratory.

Bachelor's degree in health-related field or science (medical technology, biochemistry, chemistry, biology, etc.). Master's degree recommended.

| Qualifications |
|
Proven competencies with laboratory procedures. Use of computers and computer software is required including knowledge and expertise with a laboratory information system, word processing and data handling software.
