DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Daily Tasks
Works closely with Mayo Clinic and Development leadership to plan, coordinate, support and conduct major gift cultivation and to seek financial gifts to support Mayo Clinic. Works with potential donors from around the world. This position interacts with the chair of the Development Department, physician leadership, Mayo Clinic trustees, and other professional staff.

Work Setting
Office setting with 30 percent of time spent traveling to visit potential donors.
Work Hours
Most positions are salaried. Hours vary depending on workload, meeting schedule and assignment. Typically Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm with required overnight travel.
Education
Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred.
Qualifications
1-3 years of successful fund-raising experience including major gift securement. Knowledge of trust and estate planning.
