Records electrical activity of the brain and nervous system. Technologists review the patient history, prepare the patient for testing and gather data, which is later interpreted by a physician.

|
Patient testing areas within the Neurology Laboratory and Sleep Disorder Center.

| Work Hours |
|
Eight-hour shifts Monday-Friday, as well as some on-call hours during the evening and weekends.

| Education |
|
Associate of applied science or associate of science degree in neurophysiology or related science.
|
|
| Qualifications |
|
Successful completion of a registry examination within two years of employment. Must hold current certification in Basic Life Support.
