Mayo Clinic has structured traditional high school tour requests into a more formal, career awareness program known as the High School Career Awareness/Educational Visit. The purpose of this program is to provide career awareness experience that matches student interests. The program provides participants the opportunity to:
- ask questions of employees
- observe equipment/tools used in the profession
- observe the work environment of the profession
There is a formal Educator Guidebook for use by educators looking to request a visit. All requests must go through the formal application/assessment process. Please e-mail careerawareness@mayo.edu to request a guidebook if needed.
