Heart Failure Clinic staff evaluates people who have heart failure and help them manage their heart failure over months or years. Heart Failure Clinic doctors work with specialists in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, the Echocardiography Laboratory, the Electrophysiology Laboratory, nuclear cardiology and other areas to determine the type and progression of your heart failure.

In the hospital, heart failure specialists direct and monitor your care. Doctors work with your local primary doctor and laboratory for follow-up care.

Research

The Heart Failure Program has an active clinical research program, giving people with heart failure opportunities to participate in experimental therapies not available elsewhere. Several Mayo Clinic-initiated trials are exclusive to people treated at Mayo Clinic. Researchers cooperate with other institutions in multicenter trials.
