Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery in Arizona

Overview

The Division of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery serves patients with lung and esophageal cancers as well as patients with congenital (from birth) and acquired diseases of the heart, lungs, esophagus, diaphragm and great vessels.

Areas of expertise include resection of thoracic aneurysms, heart transplants, valvular heart repair, reconstruction and replacement, pulmonary and esophageal surgeries, cardiac reparative procedures, cardiac tumors, coronary artery revascularization using arterial grafts and transthoracic hiatal hernia repair.

Our primary Divisional goal is to provide our patients with the highest quality cardiothoracic surgical care available.

Efforts are directed at improving treatment results by combining surgery with other modalities such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy, gene therapy, isolated lung perfusion and the use of advanced laser surgery.
