Approximately 8 million Americans have chronic kidney disease, caused primarily by diabetes and high blood pressure. Mayo Clinic researchers are combining extensive clinical experience in kidney and urologic diseases with promising genomic tools to better understand high blood pressure and polycystic kidney disease. Our urologic investigators are studying new methods to detect and treat kidney and prostate cancer.
