Blood Transfusion

Reactions to Blood Transfusion Therapy

A reaction to a blood transfusion is uncommon. However, if someone has received a transfusion and experiences any of the following reactions, a doctor should be informed.

  • Chills
  • Fever
  • Nausea
  • Rash
  • Itching
  • Pink-colored urine
  • Breathing difficulty
