So I'm Dr. Erik Castle. I'm a professor of urology here at Mayo Clinic in Arizona.

It really wasn't until medical school that I solidified my decision to pursue a career in the cancer world. What helped me decide that I wanted to pursue a career in medicine to begin with was my father passed away when I was in high school. He died from a cancer. Actually, it was a leukemia. The focus of my practice is in urologic oncology. So those are cancers of the urinary tract. Particularly, prostate, bladder, kidney, and testes.

One of the things that I've been focusing on more lately is robotic surgery. So for example, we were able to start taking out kidney transplants robotically. We're the only place in the world that does that. What patients can expect is a very enthusiastic, aggressive, motivated physician who is going to coordinate that kind of care that can only be achieved here at Mayo Clinic.
