Mayo Clinic has been performing weight-reduction surgery in Arizona since 1993. Surgeons perform about 60 procedures annually. Medically supervised interventions include nutrition therapy, behavior modification, pharmacotherapy and weight-loss surgery, including laparoscopic adjustable band, Roux-en-Y gastric bypass and sleeve gastrectomy. The interactive session includes discussion about Mayo's program, questions and answers regarding care and precertification and registration process details. Sessions are open to employees, friends and family.
