Atrial Fibrillation

Overview

In atrial fibrillation, electrical signals in your heart's upper chambers (atria) cause your atria to beat quickly and chaotically, which causes an irregular fast heart rhythm. Atrial fibrillation is a common type of heart rhythm disorder (arrhythmia).
