Heart Rhythm Clinic at Mayo Clinic in Minnesota

The Heart Rhythm Clinic is one of the largest arrhythmia treatment clinics in the nation. It has one of the highest volumes of patients, treating more than 4,000 patients per year who have heart rhythm disorders. In addition, more than 400 patients with atrial fibrillation are treated with pulmonary vein isolation, and more than 100 with AV node ablation annually.

The Heart Rhythm Clinic uses the most advanced diagnostic and treatment options for heart arrhythmia. The center takes a patient-centered, team approach. Nationally recognized electrophysiologists (cardiologists with specialized training in the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders) staff the clinic. Many physicians in the Heart Rhythm Clinic have held or hold leadership roles in the Heart Rhythm Society, a leading professional organization for heart rhythm disorders.

The Electrophysiology and Arrhythmia Ablation Laboratory at Mayo Clinic in Minnesota is a national leader in catheter ablation and implantable devices. The laboratory staff uses the most advanced technology to treat arrhythmias. Patients of all ages with heart arrhythmias have been diagnosed and treated at Mayo for than 25 years. The laboratory staff has performed more than 10,000 electrophysiology procedures during the past five years.

Appointments

For appointments or more information, call Cardiovascular Diseases at 507-284-3994 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Central time, Monday through Friday, or complete an online appointment request form. No physician referral is necessary. Cardiologists generally can see most patients within two weeks after their appointment requests, and often cardiologists can see patients within a week or less after the appointment request. Patients with urgent issues can usually be seen within 24 hours after their requests. In emergencies, patients are directly transferred to inpatient hospital care.
