Anatomic Pathology in Minnesota

Molecular Anatomic Pathology Laboratory

The Molecular Anatomic Pathology Laboratory was developed in 2001 and currently offers approximately 10 clinical tests with test volumes of over 30 clinical tests per month. The laboratory performs molecular testing in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded tissues for Bartonella henselae and for soft tissue sarcomas such as Ewings sarcoma, synovial sarcoma, alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma and desmoplastic small round cell tumors. Frozen tissue specimens are also analyzed with selected tests.
