At Mayo Clinic in Florida, endoscopic procedures are done at the state-of-the-art ambulatory surgical center for gastroenterology. At this facility, more than 15,000 outpatient procedures are completed annually, including colonoscopy, laser endoscopy and endoscopic ultrasonography. People who require hospitalization are admitted to the Mayo Clinic hospital, a 214-bed hospital on the Jacksonville campus.

Treatment Team

Mayo Clinic emphasizes collaborative care. Many health care professionals work together to determine how best to treat each person. The core team comprises members of the Department of Colon and Rectal Surgery. They work with specialists from Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Hematology/Oncology and Radiation Oncology.
