Allergic Diseases in Minnesota

Primary Immunodeficiency Clinic (PIDC)

The Primary Immunodeficiency Clinic (PIDC) was established in 1996 in the Division of Allergy and Immunology. Primarily, this clinic diagnoses, treats and follows up on adult patients with primary (non-acquired) immune disorders.

Patients are physician-referred and are initially evaluated by an allergy and immunology specialist. However, the clinic uses a multidisciplinary approach, and patients can then be referred for evaluation with physicians from many other specialties, if needed. Several diagnostic tests have recently been developed at the Mayo Clinic to fulfill the needs of the PIDC.
